Uploading images to Photos ONLY

Question

When I upload images to Photos, they first go to Flickr and Dropbox, greatly slowing the upload. How can I get them to Photos ONLY?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

The settings for uploading to each service will be in the preferences for that app on your Mac, for example, these are the settings for dropbox.

You would need to deactivate the preferences in Dropbox and Flickr that deal with photo upload.
